AFCON 2023
The AFCON 2023, initially scheduled for June and July 2023, has been rescheduled to finally kick off in January 2024. The tournament is definitely going to be a great start to the new year 2024. We in South Africa and moreover the entire African continent are gearing up for a month-long celebration as one of the most prestigious soccer tournaments on the continent gets underway.

AFCON 2023 Schedule
The tournament stats on 13 January 2024 with the opening game and 23 other group fixtures. After a total of 36 group games the top two teams in each group as well as the 4 best-ranked third-placed teams then advance to the knockout stage, beginning on 27 January 2024. After a total of 52 matches the champion of the 2023 AFCON will be crowned in the final on 11 February 2024.

AFCON 2023 Bookies Favourites

The 34th installment of the Africa Cup of Nations was initially planned for June and July 2023. However, given that this period coincides with the rainy season in the host country Ivory Coast, potentially leading to disruptions, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) opted to reschedule the tournament to early 2024. Despite the tournament occurring in 2024, the name “AFCON 2023” remains unchanged.
