After defeating MI Cape Town by 52 runs at Newlands on Monday, Pretoria Capitals established a clear lead over the other five Betway SA20 clubs. With a 47-run partnership, Dewald Brevis (46 off 30 balls) and Rassie van der Dussen (24 off 25 balls) revived the innings. However by the time the former was bowled by Anrich Nortje (3/22) the Capitals were comfortably in the lead. The MI Cape Town innings spiralled out of control after that dismissal. And they lost their final seven wickets for just 29 runs. Wayne Parnell, the captain of the Pretoria Capitals, recorded stats of 3/14 while showcasing his lethal ability towards the end of a game.
