Turn it up! The Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 is almost upon us. This year has a massive focus on women in sport and we are very excited to see what is to come.
We have kicked off with the 7’s Rugby, the Six Nations is around the corner and now we have the cricket about to start. Dates to diarise are February 10 to February 26, 2023.
Three iconic locations will host the 23 fixtures at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2023. As the hosts of a remarkable ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2003. All three stadiums already have illustrious World Cup histories. So here is everything you need to know about all three locations, the Proteas and current rankings. Furthermore the ten qualified teams will want to create more amazing memories in February.
The Proteas
The Proteas have named their 15 player squad for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2023:

T20 Venues
Boland Park – Paarl
Six games will be played at Boland Park during the group stage. Therefore with the first match taking place in Paarl between Australia and New Zealand. Then the White Ferns will face hosting nation South Africa two days later. Three doubleheaders will be played at the venue. Furthermore with Australia and New Zealand playing and England facing the West Indies on February 11. Two days later, England will host Ireland, while on February 19, New Zealand will play Sri Lanka and Pakistan will face the West Indies. The six matches in 2023 are twice as many as the three matches played during the 2003 Men’s Cricket World Cup.
St George’s Park Cricket Ground – Gqeberha
Australia, the defending champions, will swiftly become accustomed to St George’s Park. Furthermore three of their group’s four games will be played here. So the action starts on Valentine’s Day. This is when Australia and Bangladesh will aim to feel the love from the Gqeberha faithful known for its brass band. Moreover up to 19,000 spectators will be jammed in for a total of five matches for this Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 game.
Australia will next play South Africa and Sri Lanka in Group A before attention shifts to Group B for England’s match against India on February 18. Then Ireland and India’s championship match at St. George’s Park the following day.
Newlands Cricket Ground – Cape Town
On February 26, the winners will be crowned. Moreover they will receive the trophy in the renowned Newlands setting. The final, the opener, and both semi-finals will all be played at Newlands. Which is one of cricket’s most gorgeous locations, located in the Cape Town area and overlooks Table Mountain.
The 25,000-seat stadium is expected to be packed for all 12 of the games it will host. This includes four doubleheaders during the group stage.On February 10, the hosts South Africa will face Sri Lanka. Furthermore India, last year’s runners-up, will play two of their group games here.
In a mouthwatering matchup, rivals Pakistan will play India first, followed three days later by the West Indies. Before England plays Pakistan on February 21 in the final group stage match, Ireland will play both Pakistan and the West Indies. So Bangladesh will play on the Newlands field three times in Group A. Games will be against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and the hosts in the parliamentary hub of South Africa.
Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 – Conclusion
